Abstract

Due to the need to create new aproaches to software design and development, in this paper an object oriented analysis and design methodology is presented. We apply and extend the REDAC (REpresentación de DAtos y Conocimientos) object model to norm the structuring of classes and objects. The methodology can be applied to the development of certain complex software systems. The classes and objects obtained in the analysis and design phases allow the implementation of the system in any object oriented language. The advantages and disadvantages of the REDAC methodology is compared with other object oriented approaches. An example applying the method to forest husbandry is given.
