Information for authors

Agrociencia is an open access scientific publication founded and supported by the Colegio de Postgraduados, published every 45 days in digital format and in English. Agrociencia aims to offer researchers in agricultural sciences and related areas in Mexico and other countries a means to publish the results of their research, and have greater visibility. Manuscripts derived from theoretical or experimental research will be accepted in Agrociencia in the form of a Scientific Article, Review Article, Scientific Note or Essay.

Any manuscript to be submitted to Agrociencia must be original, and must not have been previously published or submitted for consideration by any other journal. Once it has been verified that the manuscript complies with the editorial and scientific quality standards of Agrociencia, it will be subjected to a double-blind review process and technical editing. Research that has been published only in abstract form (in proceedings or newsletters) may be submitted for publication.

Agrociencia accepts articles for publication on topics related to agricultural and related sciences, which can be categorized into the following 11 sections:

  • Water-Soil-Climate
  • Biotechnology
  • Animal Science
  • Food Science
  • Wildlife
  • Crop Science
  • Agricultural Machinery
  • Applied Mathematics-Statistics-Computer Science
  • Plant Protection
  • Natural Renewable Resources
  • Socioeconomics

Manuscripts can be received in Spanish or English, but the final version of the article accepted will be published only in English. The translation from Spanish to English will be done by professionals designated by Agrociencia. The full payment for the translation must be completed to the satisfaction of both parties for the manuscript to be published, a process in which Agrociencia staff do not intervene.

Cost per publication (Article Processing Charges)

Agrociencia is a non-profit, open-access digital scientific journal. To cover the cost of digital review and editing services, hypertext assembly, digital security certificates, and markup (XML and DOI), a fee of $14,000.00 MXN (fourteen thousand pesos 00/100 M.N.) is requested. Payment in US dollars (USD) will depend on the exchange rate on the day of payment. Please note that these costs are updated annually.
